Hats
9 times out of 10 you own a hat that you never wear. Perched on a shelf or shoved at the back of a drawer it was a passing whim turned regrettable purchase with no real occasion to wear it. We think that happens when you buy a hat as an afterthought.
When you haven’t really considered what you want a hat to do. A great hat doesn’t just complete an outfit. It transforms it.
Because of this we created this edit. Hats should be treated as an investment piece, not an occasional luxury. We have considered what women need from a hat throughout the seasons.
From a wide brim that makes summer weddings look breezy and effortless. To the wool fedoras that go camping with you through autumn, into winter and beyond. To the baker boy that takes you grocery shopping on a Friday and makes it look like you planned it.
They are different hats. They serve different purposes so we didn’t treat them the same. We are looking for two things primarily.
Proportion and quality. If a hat is too small in the brim or too deep in the crown it can look instantly tacky. Cheap fabric can also be instantly spot if you’re wearing something that sits literally inches from your face all day.
We take notice of both of these things. We also consider how wearable each piece is beyond just the style. Can it fold up in your bag to not lose it shape?
Will it work with multiple outfit styles? Is that brim big enough to actually be useful or are you just wearing it because it looks cool? We have pieces that will cost you next to nothing and look like you spent much more.
We also have you investment level hats that will stand the test of trends for years to come and reward you by looking better with age. We have made sure to include both because sometimes the occasion you need a hat for is just as important as your budget. A well chosen hat is one of the most subtle confident things to wear.
It’s your way of telling the world you didn’t just throw on clothes. You put thought into getting dressed. And that little difference makes a world of change.
