Darling late 1950s – 1960s sleeveless summer dress . . . Novelty print. Fabric content is unknown. It feels like a cotton blend. Clean & ready to wear. Contemporary sizing 40-35-40. Stated size 16 1/2 which is stamped on the inside of the belt. Matching belt with belt loops. Back zipper closure with single hook & eye at neck. Shown on a 37-27-37 dress form. Measurements are in inches & are approximate taken with the garment lying flat & then doubling: Bust: 40 Waist: 35 Hip: 40+ Length, back neck to hem: 39.5 Zipper: 21 Arm hole circumference: 18.5 Dress form: 37-27-37 Condition . . . clean & ready to wear. We did not launder or dry clean this dress. We found no mending issues. The holes in the fabric covered belt have been used 🙂 We snapped a photo of them for you. This dress is a perfect example of why you never leave one side of a vintage garment exposed to UV light. Please study the photos carefully. The front of the dress has faded, while the colors on the back of the dress are still bright & crisp. Clearly, the front was exposed & the back wasn’t. We referred to the fabric as a cotton blend. Our evidence of this is a bit of pilling on the fabric. It’s there, not glaringly there . . . we just want you to know 🙂 While we make every effort to find & share every condition issue with you we have on occasion missed small, inconsequential flaws & it is for this reason that all of our vintage garments are sold in as-found, as-is condition.
