This has been cushioned in its box, unused since the day it was hand-made 80 years ago. Yet it still looks fresh, feels exquisite & lies completely flat. Nor does it smell of anything other than cotton! Absolutely perfect. The interior is equally pristine – spotlessly clean & containing a tiny label with the word ‘Foreign’. This was made around the time of World War ll & intense hostilities meant items did not always specify their country of origin. Hence it is European so possibly French or German. Entirely covered in beads as is the wrist handle & fastened with a single press-stud sewn onto a beaded tab. The box is poor & care-worn but it has protected the purse well – which still lies in its original tissue. The old Christmas box has a tender gift inscription written on as shown in the last two photographs. Measures 6 or 15cms in diameter not including the strap. It will be wrapped in bubble or silk & sent to your overseas home by Royal Mail Tracked & Signed Service or Royal Mail Signed For within the UK. Fully insured door-to-door.
